The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the induction of Barry Bonds, Jim Leyland, and Manny Sanguillen into the team's Hall of Fame in 2024. Barry Bonds, who played for the Pirates from 1986 to 1992, is the franchise's all-time home run leader with 176 home runs. During his tenure, he won two National League MVP awards (1990 and 1992), three Gold Gloves, and two Silver Sluggers. Bonds also helped lead the team to three consecutive NL East titles from 1990 to 1992.

Jim Leyland, who managed the Pirates from 1986 to 1996, will also be inducted. Leyland guided the team to three division championships and amassed 851 managerial wins during his tenure. Manny Sanguillen, considered one of the best catchers of the 1970s, spent 12 seasons with the Pirates, hitting 59 home runs and recording 527 RBIs in 1,296 games. He was a key player in the team's two World Series championships and was a three-time All-Star.

The induction ceremony will take place on August 24, 2024, when the Pirates host the Cincinnati Reds. This announcement honors the significant contributions of these three figures to the history and success of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
