Blue Beetle Set for Animated Series Continuation at DC Studios

Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios are developing an animated series based on the 2023 film "Blue Beetle." The series will be helmed by Miguel Puga as showrunner and director, with Cristian Martinez serving as writer and executive producer. Angel Manuel Soto, who directed the original film, along with screenwriter Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer and executive producer John Ricard, will also be involved in the project.

The series is expected to build upon the events of the film while creating its own storyline. Galen Vaisman will oversee the series for DC Studios. While no cast members have been officially confirmed, there is speculation that Xolo Maridueña, who played Jaime Reyes in the film, might return to voice the character. The project aims to integrate elements of the DC Universe, potentially leading to future live-action adaptations.
