Bebe Rexha Tearfully Alleges Discrimination for Speaking Albanian at Munich Airport

Singer Bebe Rexha has accused Lufthansa of discrimination after an incident at Munich International Airport. Rexha claims she was threatened and banned from boarding a flight by a Lufthansa supervisor after she spoke Albanian to an airport security guard. The security guard, who works for ATSG, a service company hired by Lufthansa, allegedly engaged in mental abuse during the confrontation.

Rexha, who is of Albanian-North Macedonian descent, shared her account on social media, describing the experience as a hate crime. She expressed that the discrimination continued without intervention from other staff members. Lufthansa has stated that it does not tolerate discriminatory behavior and will investigate the incident. This episode follows a challenging period for Rexha, who was recently hospitalized after being hit in the face with a phone.
