Bandai Namco Unveils Bleach: Rebirth of Souls Arena Fighter for PC and Consoles

Bandai Namco and developer Tamsoft have announced "Bleach: Rebirth of Souls," a new 3D fighting game based on Tite Kubo's popular manga and anime series. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with a release date set for July 5, 2024. Players will have the opportunity to control a variety of characters from the Bleach universe, each with unique abilities tied to their Zanpakuto.

The game will feature an original story starting from the "Substitute Soul Reaper" arc and covering significant arcs up to the "Arrancar" arc. Players can engage in both local and online multiplayer battles. The combat system emphasizes strategic use of each character's unique abilities and the potential to unlock new forms and blades during fights. The game aims to recreate the intense sword fighting dynamics seen in the series, with the possibility of turning the tide of battle with a single powerful strike.

The announcement, made at Anime Expo 2024, also highlighted that "Bleach: Rebirth of Souls" will include both English and Japanese voice options, with music composed by Takeharu Ishimoto. This marks the first major Bleach game release since 2011's "Bleach: Soul Resurrección," which was not well-received at launch. Fans of the series have expressed anticipation for a more authentic fighting game experience based on the Bleach IP.
