Amazon Revives Echo Spot with Prime Day Deal and Upgrades

Amazon has launched a new version of its Echo Spot smart speaker, available for $79.99. The updated device features a semi-circular display designed for bedside use, displaying information such as the time, weather, and song titles. It also includes a 1.73-inch front-firing speaker, offering improved audio quality over its predecessor. Unlike the original Echo Spot, the new model does not have a front-facing camera, eliminating the option for video calls.

Prime members can purchase the Echo Spot for a discounted price of $45 during the Prime Day event, which runs through July 17. The device supports voice-based calling between Alexa devices and can be used for household announcements and Drop-in features. It is available in three colors: Black, Glacier White, and Ocean Blue. This release marks the first upgrade to the Echo Spot since its initial launch in 2017.
