Amazon Fire TV to Feature Xbox Cloud Gaming and Game Pass Ultimate
Microsoft has partnered with Amazon to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to Fire TV devices, specifically the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV 4K. The Xbox app will be available in July, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream games directly to these devices. This collaboration aims to expand the accessibility of Xbox Cloud Gaming, enabling users to enjoy a wide range of games without the need for a console.
To access the service, users will need a compatible Fire TV device, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The app will support various controllers, including the Xbox Series X|S controller and the PS5 DualSense. This move makes Fire TV one of the more affordable entry points for Xbox Cloud Gaming, which is currently available on mobile devices, VR headsets, smart TVs, and Xbox consoles. The service will be available in over 25 countries, providing users with another option to experience Xbox games on devices they already own.
