Netflix has confirmed that its sci-fi series, 3 Body Problem, will conclude with its third season. The series, based on Liu Cixin's "Remembrance of Earth's Past" trilogy, will see the creators David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo returning for the remaining episodes. The specific number of episodes per season has not been disclosed. The show features a diverse cast including Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, and others.

The announcement was made during Netflix's FYSEE panel, following the show's renewal at the company's upfront presentation in New York City. The creators expressed their enthusiasm for bringing the story to its intended conclusion. The series launched its first season in March and will air its second and third seasons consecutively before ending. The adaptation covers the trilogy composed of "The Three-Body Problem," "The Dark Forest," and "Death's End," focusing on humanity's first contact with an alien civilization and a pivotal decision made in 1960s China that resonates through time.
