Tyson Foods CFO John Tyson suspended following DWI arrest

John R. Tyson, Chief Financial Officer of Tyson Foods, has been suspended from his duties following his arrest on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless driving. The arrest occurred early Thursday morning, and Tyson was booked into the Washington County Detention Center before being released on a $1,105 bond. Curt Calaway has been appointed as interim CFO.

This incident marks the second time in less than two years that Tyson has faced legal issues related to alcohol. In 2022, he was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing after allegedly entering a stranger's home and falling asleep in her bed. Tyson Foods has taken immediate action in response to the latest arrest, and Tyson is scheduled to appear in Fayetteville District Court on Friday.
