Trump Hints at Possible Absence from ABC Debate
Former President Donald Trump has suggested he may skip the upcoming ABC News presidential debate against Vice President Kamala Harris, scheduled for September 10 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. Trump criticized the network and its panel, particularly pointing out ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl's interview with Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), which he described as "ridiculous and biased." He also questioned the involvement of ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, with whom he is currently in litigation.
Trump's potential absence from the debate raises questions about his campaign strategy and his relationship with mainstream media outlets. This event, moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis, is the only debate both campaigns have agreed to participate in. Trump has previously expressed a preference for debates on other networks and has criticized ABC News for perceived bias, referencing past controversies involving network contributors.
