Senator Tim Scott Marries Mindy Noce in South Carolina Ceremony

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, the Senate's only Black Republican, has married Charleston-area interior designer Mindy Noce in a private ceremony at Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The couple met through mutual friends at church, bonding over Bible study and pickleball. Scott had previously disclosed his relationship during his 2023 presidential campaign. He proposed to Noce, who has three children, in January. The ceremony was officiated by Seacoast Church’s founding pastor, Greg Surratt.

The wedding, which marks the first marriage of a sitting U.S. senator from South Carolina in over 50 years, included notable guests such as former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and Sen. John Thune of South Dakota. Noce's best friend, Joni Blair, served as her matron of honor, while Scott's brother was his best man. The couple shared their first dance to "Swayin' to the Music (Slow Dancin')" by Johnny Rivers.
