Princeton Digital Completes Phase One of AI-Ready Data Center in Johor
Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has completed Phase One of its 150MW JH1 data center campus in Sedenak Tech Park (STeP), Johor, Malaysia. This AI-ready facility serves some of the world's largest technology companies and represents a significant investment in Malaysia's digital infrastructure. The project was completed within a year, with the rooftop featuring solar panels to generate renewable energy. The company secured its first RM1.28 billion (US$280 million) green loan for the project in May.
The JH1 campus is part of PDG's SG+ strategy, which enables seamless infrastructure expansion from Singapore to scalable data center campuses in Singapore, Batam, and Johor. The campus spans 31 acres and will eventually see a total investment of $1.5 billion. The event marking the completion of Phase One was attended by Malaysia's Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz, and the Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi. The project aligns with Malaysia's goals to become a digital hub in ASEAN, and PDG was awarded Malaysia Digital (MD) Status, the country's highest recognition for digital companies.
