Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint Anime Confirmed at Anime Expo 2024

An anime adaptation of the popular Korean web novel, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, was announced at Anime Expo 2024 by Crunchyroll. The series, which will be titled Omniscient Reader, is a co-production with Aniplex. It will be available for streaming in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.

The web novel, written by singNsong and initially published by Munpia, has previously been adapted into a webtoon by Naver in 2020 with illustrations by Sleepy-C from Redice Studio. The story follows Dokja, an average office worker who becomes the only person aware of how the world will end, based on his knowledge from reading his favorite web novel, 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse'. This knowledge allows him to alter the story and the world around him.

No details have been disclosed about the production staff, the animation studio, or the release date for the anime. The announcement included a teaser video posted on Crunchyroll's official YouTube channel, generating excitement among fans. Additionally, a Korean drama adaptation of the web novel, featuring stars like Lee Min-ho and Jisoo, has already completed filming and is set to be produced by Kim Byung Woo.
