Nicki Minaj Faces $5M Slander Suit from Superfan Over 'Stalker' Claims
Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million lawsuit filed by Tameer Peak, a long-time fan, in Los Angeles Superior Court. Peak, who claims to have supported Minaj for 15 years and helped promote her 2023 album "Pink Friday 2," alleges that Minaj publicly humiliated him by labeling him a "mentally unstable stalker" and a paid mole. He contends that these accusations began during a period in 2017 when Minaj suggested some fans were being paid to sabotage her.
The lawsuit further claims that Minaj invited Peak to her hotel to film and embarrass him on Instagram Live, in front of 100,000 viewers. Additionally, Peak alleges that during a Super Bowl LIV event in 2020, Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, physically assaulted him. As a result, Peak is seeking compensation for reputational harm, emotional distress, and financial losses. This legal action adds to previous instances where Minaj has faced legal challenges, including a $500,000 settlement to a security guard earlier this year.
