Miley Cyrus expresses pride in her Hannah Montana role
Miley Cyrus, a Grammy-award winning singer who rose to fame as a child star on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana, was honoured with Disney Legends status at the company's biennial fan convention, D23. She received a standing ovation from the 12,000-strong crowd and expressed pride in her role as Hannah Montana. Country singer Lainey Wilson introduced Cyrus with a rendition of the Hannah Montana theme track "The Best Of Both Worlds."
During her speech, Cyrus humorously addressed rumours about Disney kids being created in a Californian Disney office and made light-hearted remarks about her "Wrecking Ball" era. She also delivered an emotional message about overcoming fear, emphasizing that it is legendary to be afraid and still proceed with determination.
