Mike Kehoe Secures GOP Nod for Missouri Governor

Missouri's Lieutenant Governor, Mike Kehoe, has secured the Republican nomination for governor, defeating State Senator Bill Eigel and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft. Kehoe received 39% of the vote, while Eigel garnered nearly 33%, and Ashcroft came in third with 23%. Kehoe thanked his supporters at a campaign watch party in Jefferson City.

Kehoe will face Democratic nominee Crystal Quade in the general election on November 5th. Despite Ashcroft's strong name recognition, Kehoe's campaign raised $4.2 million over the election cycle, more than three times the amount raised by Ashcroft. The current Republican governor, Mike Parson, is barred from seeking reelection due to term limits.
