The confrontation occurred near County Road 439 and Brookside Drive, north of State Road 44, as deputies responded to a disturbance call. During the incident, one deputy was trapped inside the home where the ambush took place, prompting a rescue effort by SWAT and other law enforcement officers. All three deputies were transported to the hospital, with one in critical condition. The suspect remains at large, and several roads in the area have been blocked off. Residents have been asked to shelter in their homes due to the ongoing investigation.
