A new anime series titled "Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture" is slated to premiere on May 10, 2024, in Japan with subsequent parts releasing on June 7, July 5, and August 2. This series will also be available for streaming worldwide on Disney+ as a Star Original in late June 2024. The story is set in the seventh year of the Kowa era and centers around two mercenary brothers, Ash and Rozé, who join a Japanese resistance force to liberate Empress Sakuya from the Neo Britannian Empire.

The anime is directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi with scripts by Noboru Kimura and character designs by Takahiro Kimura. The opening theme song, "Running In My Head," will be performed by MIYAVI, while the ending theme, “Roze,” is by Hikari Mitsushima. The cast includes voice actors such as Kohei Amasaki, Makoto Furukawa, Reina Ueda, Kana Ichinose, Hiroki Yasumoto, Nao Toyama, Yumi Uchiyama, and Hiroyuki Yoshino.

The first promotional video for the series was unveiled at Anime Japan 2024, offering a glimpse into the anime's visual style and tone. The series will be a four-part film series in Japan and a 12-episode anime series for global streaming. Fans of the original "Code Geass" series, which began airing in 2006, have expressed anticipation for this new installment in the franchise.
