'1000-Lb Sisters' Star Amy Slaton Arrested at Safari Park for Drugs and Child Endangerment

Amy Slaton Halterman, a star of TLC's "1,000-Lb Sisters," and her companion, Brian Scott Lovvorn, have been arrested on charges of drug possession and child endangerment at the West Tennessee Safari Park. The Crockett County Sheriff's Department responded to a call on September 2 regarding a guest being bitten by a camel. Upon investigating, deputies detected suspicious odors coming from Slaton's vehicle, leading to the discovery of drugs.

Both Slaton and Lovvorn were charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, along with two counts of child endangerment. They were subsequently booked into the Crockett County Jail. This incident follows Slaton's recent divorce from her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, with whom she shares two children. The couple finalized their divorce earlier this year after a prolonged court battle.
